Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

I've been talking to you and didn't know. I write a story about several characters with different types of ptsd. It's a hard thing to deal with(Thank you Captain Obvious...) Anyway Eel, Sammy and Gerbil have it from being prisoners of war for several years. They had been presumed dead so no one came for them. which happens a lot in violent wars where people rarely find soldiers bodies. At a certain point they just assume they are dead. Timmy has it from something else. They all present differently. Sammy has episodes where flashbacks are triggered and suffers from extreme phobias and anxiety. Eel is suicidal and has more of the anger and Gerbil is the closest to returning to normal as you can get. I find it interesting how they interact and sometimes it very sweet. I try to study peoples thought patterns and reactions to things, because I like to hope that maybe if I can really understand it all, i can find a way to fix it. So far I have found that it really does kind of work that way, but i know somewhere deep inside that it's not really fixable, but I'm never going to let that stop me from trying.
